Journey

I am aware this may be a controversial opinion. Genuinely, Journey IS absolutely stunning and features some of the best music and art direction of the 2010s.
However over the course of its 1-2 hour runtime it's very difficult to ignore the fact that it severely lacks an intended story outside of vague allusions to the world the team has created. This is indeed intentional (i assume) in order to help create a personal story to each player through the design of emergent gameplay - however I feel it fails in this regard as there are no deeper systems than the base platforming and puzzles, which I feel is required for that kind of story telling.
Examples of this done right would tend to lie within the immersive sim genre - and clearly this is not that.
There is also the case of multiplayer - many games use drop-in multiplayer where players around the globe can come into your game when they please however Journey is no longer a popular enough game to receive that kind of player base, and I feel the game relies too much on the idea that other players will change your opinion on the game itself, essentially meaning the enjoyment of your experience is dependent on players rather than the game itself - which relies on luck more than anything.
Once again, this has been done well in games such as those from fromsoftware but those succeed because their core gameplay is compelling outside of the other players.
In conclusion I feel like an ass to say this but Journey is not really what I was wanting from the concept of a wordless adventure through a world with an interesting art direction, an idea that has been done far better in other games.
